Week 33: 老常家麵館/大英博物館淺逛/聖馬田教堂聽歌+Strike Week3

本週的新菜色:牛丼、羊丼、雞丼、潮式北菇滑雞粥。
本週的主題:大英博物館、老常家麵館、St. Martin-in-the-Fields。

對的,我終於在睽違了快三個月之後,又回來寫週記了….上次是15週的時候,希望之後可以維持一個正常的狀況,然後也會慢慢把16-32週的東西慢慢補回來(完整性強迫症人格)。

簡言之就是11月底開始進入了瘋狂作業期、放假時間是瘋狂旅遊期(開始欠一堆遊記),直到這學期開始的瘋狂雙專案期,這週已經是這學期的Week8了,卻還覺得苦難沒有結束,然後時間比上次過得更快這樣。

大概到了這週,才能稍微喘氣,開始做我習慣的紀錄了。
另外還有就是我的中文變得很差,如果可能的話,可能會盡量開始中英文雙紀錄這樣。
(但如果英文有文法錯誤的話,就請大家多多糾錯了。)

(備註,後來夙夜匪懈的把16-34周19篇週記都寫完了….到去義大利前2個小時都還在機場寫)

A Class in the British Museum 20180308

Today we had a class in the British Museum. The staff designed some little workshops for us. We visited different rooms in groups and discussed their narratives and the information they want to convey. The light, colour even positions of the objects can show different learning outcomes. I think it is the best class I have ever had here. Cause they teach us how to attract your audience and understand their thoughts.

This is quite amazing. Because in my career life in Taiwan’s museum, we have never thought about it. The main thing we concerned is how to drain out the budget, how to show the researchers’ working to the audience. We emphasise our authority more than our customers, which is our visitors. The other thing that surprised me is their audience evaluation, which shows the audience don’t spend too much time in the gallery and only 10 % of them will read the panels! OMG!! Then why do I spend so much time to ensure the accuracy of my panels in the past?! (Just kidding, we still need to make them right.)

But the truth reminds me that maybe people are not that care about your objects, you need to hook them. I think I will use a new way to curate my exhibitions when I go home.

 

About My Class

反正我這禮拜就是瘋狂的在趕文物報告,趕到都快死掉。然後還40分鐘從0開始學會如何用photoshop幫這兩張去背,雖然去出來像狗啃的,但我已經很高興了…。
I have finished the Photoshop working on these two images in 40 minutes. I don’t even know how to use the Photoshop before, I am a genius…..

And I am dying for the collection and curatorship report…

(太久沒寫,不太會抓,就不小心把圖片壓太小,就糊糊的…大家就看開一點…)

這次被北京室友來吃傳說中某J學長推薦的,反正就可以遇到很多大名人的店,
然後店裡在播李聖傑的三大情歌。I don’t get it, but still good.

我們點了河南牛肉燴麵跟豬蹄,然後河南牛肉燴麵很好吃,豬蹄軟軟的也不錯。

還有乾扁四季豆跟蒜泥白肉,蒜泥白肉超好吃!!!

這樣吃一個人大約19鎊,可以!!

 

St. Martin-in-the-Fields 20180311

I went to St. Martin to listen to Mary’s performance. It was quite good.

今天受班上的英美混血同學之邀去特拉法加廣場,聽他們唱詩班唱歌。
他們稱做Weekly Services,會有不同的歌,我去聽的是五點的Choral Evensong。

其實去之前本來因為想不出作業的展覽點子有點煩躁,後來進教堂,跟他們一起做儀式,聽他們唱歌、講一些聖經的經文,突然就覺得心情好了一點。
而且看到同學穿著唱詩班的制服,很嚴肅地走出教堂,就覺得蠻有趣的。(她後來跑來找我小聊了一下之後,就回去準備七點的了)

但我覺得文化脈絡是真的有差,就我在那邊是唯一的亞洲人,一個非常生的面孔。

感覺我跑進了當地人的生活圈。
但我繞了一圈之後,就深深感覺到我們是不一樣的。

不過有幸能參與一下這樣的盛會,還是不錯的。

Cooking 20180305

I always cook because I just submit a very important essay or finish a big presentation. This time is for I just finalise my collection and curatorship draft report and the panel meeting powerpoint.

I cooked three kinds of Japanese donburi and a pot of chicken congee.

喔然後我這週一,因為一口氣弄完兩大報告,覺得壓力要釋放,
所以就下廚做了三種丼飯跟偽北菇滑雞粥。

丼飯就是醬油2、味醂1、米酒1,然後加一點點蜂蜜。
試到最後只有羊丼成功,豬丼跟雞丼太早上場,就GG。
(因為網路上的食譜是醬油4,可是那是日式醬油,而我使用的則是台灣人的驕傲龜甲萬醬油!超鹹的!)

喔喔還有我在宜蘭的時候吃到的驚為天人的北菇滑雞粥,我試著重現了一下,就是還不錯。

作法就是很勤勞的去下Sainsbury牌的12隻雞腿肉,加上香菇、生米、枸杞丟進Rice cooker煮,連去骨後的12隻雞腿骨都扔下去熬(在宜蘭學會的絕活),出來就很棒棒。
(但去骨超累,簡直是噩夢)

我每次做菜的高峰就是交完大報告的瞬間,且看我3/19的大報告、4/27的大報告還有5/8的開展會長出什麼新東西。
我覺得等論文寫完的瞬間我大概會有滿漢全席吧…
