本週是開學前一週，有很多活動可以玩，也有機會認識很多人，學生會會舉辦很多活動，有些要售票，有些免費參加。
然後也是少見的，UCL主圖掛出五面歡迎大旗的時期，象徵新學期的開始。
另外一件比較大的事情就是延簽終於送出了，開學前把東西都處理完了。
本週開始想嘗試寫英文日記，雖然不確定文法跟結構是否正確，但希望可以慢慢練習（歡迎揪錯）。
所以往後的週記會結合自己的英文日記以及平時的中文紀錄。
希望用這種形式記錄下自己接下來的一年！

20170918 The Book of Mormon音樂劇

跟朋友去看了The Book of Mormon，有很多經典的美式笑點，
音樂很洗腦，動作很可愛，算是一齣還不錯的音樂劇，
但可能要懂一些那個文化的人才可以懂那些梗，
然後編劇超敢用梗，不得不佩服他的勇氣。

20170919 Empire Casino

這天早上去了V&A，然後看了The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains的展覽。
展覽非常棒，視覺效果跟論述都很完整，一樣是之後再來整理一下心得。

晚上跟朋友去了Empire Casino，玩21點賭贏了40鎊，覺得很有趣。
倫敦的賭場是合法的，裡面就是一個很正派玩的概念，有不同賭桌、不同發牌員，
此外也有免費的酒水可以喝（就是要讓你玩越來越久的概念）。
但是就是要很學會怎麼察言觀色，觀察情勢。有時候一下子大把鈔票就不見了。
覺得賭博簡直是門大學問呀，但體驗一次還是很好玩的。

20170920 Graeme of Thrones嘲諷劇

因為正逢第七季結束，剛好2017/09/20有上Game of Throne的嘲諷劇：Graeme of Thrones，
所以就去看了。
看的心得是….嗯，就是一個太過前衛的惡搞劇。
用一些很奇妙的方式呈現一些名場面。
還蠻好笑的，而且離觀眾很近，但是會覺得歐….，再加歐….的感覺。

嗯嗯好大概這樣。

20170921 First day at Institution of Archaeology

1. Informal welcome reception
In 21th of September, we had an informal welcome reception in IOA.
We gathered to meet overseas students in the corridor of IOA Building.
It was not a great experience because the corridor was narrow and crowded with students that day.

At the beginning of the reception, the tutor stood on a wooden box and informed us some critical suggestions. Then a professor switched place with Lisa and also stood on the wooden box. One of my classmates said the wooden box looks just like a soapbox which “is a raised platform on which one stands to make an impromptu speech. "

The professor introduced us to our coordinators and we were taken to the different place by our professional areas.

The classmates were from differences countries and they used fluent English.
It shocked me and I made up my mind to practice English every day by diary.

今天就是Interntional Students的迎新，老師各自把我們帶開，然後就問一下大家的背景。
同學有希臘、義大利、智利，以及美國來的等等。

2. The coffee talk

After the end of the reception, we drunk coffee with one of our classmates who comes from Singapore.

She told us many things in her country like their real estate policy, the truth of caning and the educational system.

Every time we felt tired, we switch our speaking language from English to Mandarin to get some rest.

She told us her visiting experience in a politic museum. The museum displayed politic persecution by voice and dark stairs. It looked like visitors could experience the prisoner’s lives.

3. Burger party
After we finished the coffee talk, we went to shopping in a furniture store. And then we walked 20 minutes to join the Taiwanese burger dinner. However, the restaurant was too crowded and we cannot have a seat. We just stayed for 20 minutes and then left.

4. Museum Tavern

Before we arrived the burger restaurant, I met my Pre-sessional students and our teacher. They were going to have a drink and asked me to join. Therefore, after I changed the burger party plan, I went to the bar and have a nice night with them. We discussed the cultural difference between China, Taiwan, and the UK. Sometimes we fought, sometimes we shared our own opinion.

Museum Tavern矗立在此已經有好多年的歷史了，就在大英博物館對面。
最早的紀錄是1723設立，那時候叫做The Dog and Duck。後來1759年大英博物館建立之後，這個酒館就改名為博物館酒館了。中間雖然經過多次整修，但還是有保留一些原始的物件，比如鏡子、玻璃等等。
馬克斯、凱因斯等都曾經住在這附近（可以在酒館內看到他們的照片），想像這些人就生活在這個空間裡，寫出我們所熟悉的理論，就覺得悠然神往。

Finally, I came home at 1:00 am.
I think it was a great day but also an exhausting day because I need to speak English all day.
But it is what I need and what I want, right?

And I found that the British like drinking, just as Taiwanese like Hot Pot.
It’s the occasion they can chat with others.
So, the party food does not really matter.

20170922 參觀Garden Hall

這天去參觀室友的宿舍，Garden Hall是Intercollegiate Halls，屬於UoL的宿舍。

就是倫敦大學旗下不分學院的人都可以住的宿舍。
宿舍本身很高級，非常棒，參觀完覺得自己住的宿舍超破爛的。

而且門禁管理也做得很好，出入要登記的那種，像是飯店式的管理。

去的時候順便去大英博物館對面的COCO都可買了奶茶帶過去。

走進店裡的時候都快要哭出來了，各種懷念的手工奶茶，看到店員點餐的時候都是台灣腔又更懷念。因為在這邊聽到中文很容易，但聽到台灣腔的店員真的很不容易。

我們點了布丁奶茶、奶茶三兄弟跟雙拼奶茶。
奶茶非常好喝！只是珍珠有點小。配料的布丁跟仙草也都很好喝。
可以做全糖或半糖，都不錯喝。

深夜則去了The Hippodrome Casino的Bar喝酒。

因為Casino好大，中途我還轉錯彎，
跑到一個有鋼管舞女郎跳舞的賭場，女郎在中間跳舞，旁邊是賭博台，在外面則是喝酒的座位，就像電影一樣，但還蠻有趣的。
這家Bar很舒服，都是沙發座，而且人也不多，酒也不貴，是一個聊天喝酒的好地方，

目前覺得全倫敦待過最舒適的喝酒之地就是這邊了。

20170923 唱歌@ Sugar（另補Hoja）

今天去China Town的Sugar唱歌，就在W hotel對面，還不錯歌很新，
然後只要點超過一定額度，包廂費就可以免。
唱下來大約一個人25鎊。

之前去唱過另外一家叫做Hoja，是台灣餐廳，是每人15鎊，然後15鎊可以抵店內消費。

但Hoja的歌跟設備比較沒那麼新，不過感覺比較吃得飽，而且比較平價。
然後店員大多是台灣人，或也有香港人。

如果是我的話我會比較喜歡Hoja，因為我很窮又貪吃。
但如果要新歌的話可以選Sugar。

覺得卡拉OK在倫敦很難生存，以前台灣是唱歌為主，供餐為輔。
這邊則是點菜為主，唱歌包廂是附帶的。
而且大部分都集中在China Town附近，果然卡拉Ok就是華人的娛樂！

20170924 Final Sunday before the class begins

Abeno

This morning I had breakfast with one of my roommates, she told me she had a sleepless night yesterday.

Then I had lunch with my ex-roommates in the Abeno at noon yesterday.

The restaurant was decorated with numerous Japan items. It Iiked you actually step into a restaurant which was located in Japan。

However, their service was slow. It had been about thirty minutes since I l ordered. And the food was still not ready.

During we waiting, I talk with my Korea classmate and she mentioned her Danmark trip.I said Danmark is the hometown of fairytales and there is a statue of a mermaid beside the port.

我們點的是東京大阪燒、京都大阪燒以及海鮮大阪燒等，還點了生魚片。
都很好吃！！很日本的味道～吃完都要被征服了QQ。

BBQ Party

After lunch, I participated the BBQ party which was held by UCLU with my pre-sessional classmates.

The party was not good because we spent five pounds only buying a hamburger.

反正我再也不相信英國的食物了，各種絕望。

Residence Party

Then I came back my residence to join the welcome party.

There was a woman would dress your face with some shining colors.
And you could make your own keyring there. It’s really fun.

Board Game night

We left at 7:00 to join the board game night at the main campus.
I played the scrabble game which was a spelling game and the truth and dare.

Although I am tired, I thought it was a wonderful day.
